Create/configure a Connected Car notification

After installing the Car Connector (ADC-3035L), notifications and rules should be created to take advantage of its features.

Before beginning, verify that the Car Connector is installed and added to the account. For more information, see Car Connector (ADC-3035L) – Installation Guide.

To create notifications for the Car Connector (ADC-3035L) using the Customer Website:

1. Log into the Customer Website.
2. Click Notifications.
3. Click   next to Car Event Alert, Car Unexpected Movement Alarm, Driver Behavior Alerts, or Car Started Alert.
   • If the notification is not created yet, click + New Notification and then click Cars and select the specific notification to create
4. Configure the notification as desired.
5. In Recipients, click + Add Recipient to select which contacts receive the notification. 
6. Click to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified.
   • If a contact is not listed:
     1. Click + New to add a new Address Book entry.
     2. Enter the new contact’s information, then click Add Contact. 
   • To remove recipients, click  to remove the desired notification recipient. 
7. Click Close.
8. Verify the notification is configured with the desired settings.
9. Click Save. 
   
   

To create notifications for the Car Connector (ADC-3035L) using the Customer app:

1. Log into the Customer app.
2. Tap 
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Tap
5. Tap to expand Use A Template.
6. In Cars, tap to select Car Event Alert, Car Unexpected Movement Alarm, Driver Behavior Alerts, or Car Started Alert.
7. Configure the notification as desired.
8. In Recipients, tap + Add Recipient to select which contacts receive the notification. 
9. Tap to select the entries in the Address Book to be notified, then tap Close. 
   • If a contact is not listed:
     1. Tap + Add Contact to add a new Address Book entry.
     2. Enter the new contact’s information, then tap Add Contact. 
   • To remove recipients, tap  to remove the desired notification recipient. 
10. Verify the notification is configured with the desired settings.
11. Tap Save.
