Create/Edit A Thermostat Temperature Alert Notification

A Thermostat Temperature Alert notification can notify users if a thermostat reports a temperature above or below a specified temperature.

Note: There is no limit to the number of Alarm.com Temperature Sensors that can receive Temperature Alert notifications. If any PG9905 Wireless PowerG Temperature Detectors are enrolled on your account, only the first two can be selected when creating this notification.

To create a Thermostat Temperature Alert notification using the website:

  1. Log into the website.
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click + New Notification.
  4. Click Temperature. 
  5. Click Temperature Alert.
  6. Enter the name of the new notification.
  7. In When the device detects a temperature, click to select the temperature thresholds and use the dropdown menus to specify the high and low temperatures required to generate the alert.
  8. In For the selected devices, click to select the thermostats and/or temperature sensors to be notified about.
  9. To add notification recipients, click + Add Recipient
  10. Click to select the desired recipients from the Address Book, or add an unlisted recipient by clicking + New
  11. Click Close.
  12. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  13. Click Save

  1. Log into the app.
  2. Tap Menu.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Tap Add.
  5. Tap to expand Use A Template.
  6. Tap Temperature Alert.
  7. Enter the name of the new notification.
  8. In When the device detects a temperature, tap to select the temperature thresholds and use the dropdown menus to specify the high and low temperatures required to generate the alert.
  9. In For the selected devices, tap to select the thermostats and/or temperature sensors to be notified about.
  10. To add notification recipients, tap + Add Recipient
  11. Tap to select the desired recipients from the Address Book, or add an unlisted recipient by tapping + Add Contact.
  12. Tap Close.
  13. Verify the notification is configured with the correct settings.
  14. Tap Save.
