Add user codes to a 2GIG EDGE

User codes can be added to the 2GIG EDGE panel locally or remotely using Alarm.com. For information about adding user codes remotely, see Add user codes remotely. 

To add user codes locally using the 2GIG EDGE panel: 

1. On the home screen, tap .
2. Enter the installer code or master code.
3. Tap Users.
4. Tap Add User.
5. Enter the user’s name, then tap Next.
6. Enter the new unique user code, then tap Next.
   
   Note: If the code entered is already in use, the system prompts to enter a different code. Every user code must be unique.
    
7. Enter the new user code again to confirm, then tap Next. This adds the user code to the panel. 
8. If Smart Areas are enabled, the Assign user to Smart Areas screen displays. Tap to enable the toggle switch to assign the user to the appropriate partitions, and then tap Next. 
9. If the on-board camera is enabled, the Enroll Facial Recognition screen displays. Tap Nextto configure facial recognition for the user, or click Skip. 
   1. Flick to scroll to read the Biometric Information Privacy Policy and Consent form, and then tap Agree.
      
      Note: Each user must agree to the Biometric Information Privacy Policy and Consent form in order to enroll to use the Facial Recognition feature.
       
   2. Tap Begin to capture the user’s profile image.
      • On-screen instructions guide the user through the process of capturing their profile. To complete the face recognition process, the user will slightly move their head in specific directions. 
   3. Once the profile has been captured, the user can view a tutorial or skip the tutorial about how to use facial recognition. 
   4. Following face recognition, there is the option to capture a photo to use as a personal avatar image. Capture an image to use as the user’s avatar, or tap Skip. 
   5. Tap to the toggle switch to enable the face recognition modes (i.e., Arming, Disarming), and then tap Next. 
10. The Assign Bluetooth Devices screen displays. Tap Next to configure Bluetooth devices for the user, or click Skip. 
    1. If Next is tapped, the panel scans for Bluetooth devices.
       • If the device is not listed, verify the Bluetooth device is set to discoverable and then tap Rescan to have the panel scan for Bluetooth devices again. 
    2. Tap  for the Bluetooth device to pair. 
    3. Tap Pair Device on the panel. And tap to pair the device on the Bluetooth device. 
    4. A successful message appears on the screen once the device has been paired, tap Ok.
11. The user has now been created. Tap Done to complete, or tap Add another user to repeat this process for a new user.
